Really looking forward to learning more about the Marmot Places at tomorrow's Health Equity conference in Liverpool @marmotihe.bsky.social & seeing the Scotland contingent - @publichealthscot.bsky.social & @vhscotland.bsky.social

Marmot places are having tangible results on health and wellbeing. Just ask these people who are busy making it happen

But SO many people making major assumptions that the cockpit was staffed by two men! Women & non binary ppl can be pilots & first officers too & deserve to be visibled and recognised in this space. Unconscious bias training needed for many on that flight +/ this brilliant video

But shout out to the talent & skill of the @ryanairofficial.bsky.social pilot and first officer who avoided diversion that many other flights had to make & who kindly told us after we'd landed she was scared too! Never ever been on a flight where so many folk genuinely clapped!

Was brought straight back to reality very late last night landing into Edinburgh in Storm Amy after the most brilliant week in Andorra at @enoll-network.bsky.social (more on that next week... it was fantastic)

Do not hope alone. Hope with love and in connection with people. As a collective move, as feelings shared. Where possibility has space to breathe and flourish. Hope can't be mandated, or airbrushed, or extinguished. It lives in between.

Jenny is such a kind person! ☀️ I remember that kindness so much as a student and it's things like this that you never forget.

Heading North after a brilliant 3 days in Bham full of so much connection, expertise, sunshine & torrential rain. The main highlight was connecting with lots of lovely geographers from my more than a decade (!!) in the discipline. Today the wonderful @jennypickerill.bsky.social

@foodgeog.bsky.social Great to learn more about the process of developing the very recently published 'Food and Society'.

My output inspired by what I believe the vision & values of my work in creating a #GoodFoodNation to 'build a long table not a higher wall'

A table with people connecting and eating around it together. A space of equity.

@foodgeog.bsky.social Annual AGM. Great to hear about how active the Food Geog Research Group has been over the past year & priorities going forward.

Yaaay! Would be lovely to catch up Jenny, are you here for the 3 days?
tillyrobinsonmiles.bsky.social
Key points:

-changing political priorities and empathy

-positive move towards recognising the imp. of being place based (what geographers ❤️ to hear)

-we need to understand more about 'policy entrepreneurs' beyond 'heroic individuals'

First session about working with local authorities to accelerate climate action. Whilst all session presenters have spoken about working with english LA's it shows that lots of the challenges and opportunities facing local government right now are not nationally specific.
tillyrobinsonmiles.bsky.social
Looking forward to it all. So much food for thought!

Love this so much Donald! Everyone who wants to be able to should be able to feel the physical and mental benefits of the outdoors.

Really lovely to catch up with Andrew from @eatingbetter.bsky.social this afternoon. When you work in the policy space it's often not your internal colleagues who you work closest with. Grateful for the Good Food Nation journey for all the interesting people I've worked closely with along the way.
