Hillary was by no means a powerhouse candidate.
She had years of oppo research and negative coverage. She had steady headwinds from a solid but not overwhelming sexist segment, and she was the epitome of an establishment candidate.
Which is probably more important for why fuckery was such a factor

It's obviously a pepper ball round, the video is consistent, the eyewitness reports support it, just say "non-lethal" projectile if you must, but please, less weasel words all around.

They are attempting to poison the public sphere.

Honestly, it has felt similar in Jays land too last few years. No one questions Shapiro's ability to amass minor league talent, and a solid but budget-minded big club. Getting over the hump and going for it has always been the question, so, we'll see

I wish sources like wbez.org would do more journalism so we didn't have to pretend that the video is "claimed to show". Review the video with the lawyer, report on what it shows.
If it's ambiguous so be it, but the framing makes it seem like the lawyer is making claims, which opens up needless doubt
