I think framing this in terms of homelessness is not productive. But it's not that hard to find RVs with multiple bikes around them. They are stolen to be sold. Regardless of the reason for theft, if SPD doesn't take it seriously there will be a lower ceiling on how many normies we can get riding.

I guess you could say that about any public good that hasn't been auctioned off to advertisers yet. Hard to measure the good it does and maybe a matter of personal preference but I think we go way too far in the US in selling off public space and find their attitude refreshing.

If the stadium is owned by the province, the rights are theirs to sell, not the teams. No matter who brokers the deal, it's selling the property of the people.

Both of these papers were team efforts, but Wonjin did great work in leading them, congrats! Camera ready versions are in progress that greatly improve these papers in response to reviews. And lots more great work from Wonjin in the pipeline.

The second is a short paper (findings), which describes a method for estimating AUROC for LLM-based classifiers. We convert classification prompts into comparison prompts, treat it like a repeated game, and calculate ELO scores for every instance to get probabilities->ROCs. arxiv.org/abs/2502.15018
