Not niche at all (obviously). It's probably THE core skill for a scientist these days and in many similar jobs. Oh, and for many aspects of life too.

My colleagues and I often discuss how much of our time is spent either teaching, mentoring, guiding, or critiquing writing, or doing it ourselves.

Very disappointed that this was even suggested, given the mountain of evidence that suggests culls don't do anything for shark bite risk. Also ignores we've been culling sharks for 70+ years through the shark control programs in NSW and QLD...

Nice work! I remember learning about your pioneering work on Pittosporum invasion as an undergrad at UNSW in the mid 90s. There was also a spate of work on it invading bush gullies around Sydney at the time.

It came up in a number of classes, including some of my favourites from Marilyn Fox.
