My fear is there are too many of these cowardly, centrist technocrats at the heart of EUR leadership who are easily bullied and used to appeasing that they cannot conceive of radical or brave policy. They prefer this tiny, slow incremental change, where they can keep kicking the can down the road.

Cash ISAs are garbage anyway, stick to index funds long term.
November 28, 2025 at 7:32 PM
Now he's polling 4 pts above you Ed 😂
November 27, 2025 at 7:35 PM
Who are we trying to please here though? The 10-15% subset of the "immigration numbers should be lower" crowd who won't be pacified until browns & blacks are rounded up for mass deportations or Idi Amin style forced confiscation and expulsion?

Is this really who we should be appeasing?
November 27, 2025 at 6:46 PM
He means there's too many brown people and he wants the Govt to get rid of said brown people as that's what apparently the real motive is. Not sure why he's beating around the bush.
November 27, 2025 at 3:49 PM
He could have took credit for it and call it an "achievement" but him and his people just cannot help themselves in missing open goals and then just digging themselves into a hole. Their nose for political PR is some of the worst we've ever seen.
November 27, 2025 at 2:58 PM
"We're not racist, we just want immigration numbers to be lower"

"Ok how about an 80% fall in 18 months?"

"Errm.. no"

This is why constant trying to appease ethno-nationalists is a bad idea, as the goalposts will always keep shifting to the ulterior motives behind the innocent protestations.

Apologise for Tory Austerity and Brexit first Nick then we might pay attention to your bellyaching.

Completely wrong, the vast majority of net migration is made up of students and people on skilled visas. We aren't "ignoring huge numbers" of minimum wage earners.

It would be nice for Europe to start discovering they have far more power and influence than they believe and deference to the US in matters of our own security and safety is no longer an option.
November 27, 2025 at 8:37 AM
Their pathological obsession with "bipartisanship" & appeasing Republicans by extending undeserved olive branches whilst prosecuting Trump was pathetic.

The cowardice of Biden & especially Merrick Garland not enforcing the full might of the law on him will be a stain on the US for a long while.
November 27, 2025 at 8:32 AM
And these voters are still going anywhere but back to Labour...
November 25, 2025 at 6:04 PM
This is pure Trumpian.
November 25, 2025 at 3:25 PM
.. does anyone trust Trump to support a triggering article 5 if Russia invaded say Lithuania or Estonia? Like hell we would, like Ukriane, he'd probably blame Europe and say we provoked Putin.
November 25, 2025 at 12:09 PM
They joined when the US had an administration that wasn't actively hostile to their European allies and didn't favour appeasing mass-murdering dictators over the security of their NATO counterparts.

The point of NATO is joint protection in the face of external threats..
November 25, 2025 at 12:05 PM
NATO makes no sense under a fascist US president who sides with murderous dictators over his allies, how does that keep EUR safe?

Fiscally literate.. which the great "economic understanders" keep asking us to follow as wealth & asset hoarding keeps exploding at the top and every else gets poorer.
November 25, 2025 at 10:57 AM
Europe has probably been given the greatest opportunity to create & build its own sovereign defence alliance with Trump's utter disdain for us and our security by selling out to Putin.

We absolutely must stop looking deferentially at the US for approval on everything and aim for self-reliance.
November 25, 2025 at 10:07 AM
Why did the bond markets wave through Sunak/Hunt's clearly cynical, pre-election bribe of an unfunded £20bn in NI cuts?
November 25, 2025 at 8:48 AM
Never emotionally/mentally developed past 11 years old. Spoilt, socially maladapted narcissist that never had any friends and then became rich thinking people loved him for his wit & personality. He's used his wealth ever since to make ppl like him.

Now he's one of the worst humans on the planet.
November 24, 2025 at 9:09 PM
A US-led NATO has plenty of things to criticise tbf, it's got the West into half a dozen geopolitical disasters in the past 20 years. So questioning or opposing it as an entity is not beyond the pale, nor does it mean you want to lay down arms and disband your military.
November 23, 2025 at 8:03 PM
Does this man ever blame things like Austerity for destroying working class communities? The billionaire capital class & foreign private equity hoovering up assets & entrenching wealth inequality? Brexit destroying our economy/trade?

I can't think of a single thing that's Labour about this weirdo.
November 23, 2025 at 4:43 PM
I can't wait to see this "both sides" corporate clown get 2% in the primaries.
November 23, 2025 at 3:08 PM
The problem is all of you in the media are marinating every day in the X-manipulated algorithm, rage machine and have become addicted to the sugar rush of sensationalist media coverage.

There's very little actual journalism anymore, you all behave more like gossip columnists.
