I read the entire article from beginning to end, although with quite a few paragraphs, I just looked at the main sentence and skimmed because it was not relevant to geothermal power. Prose like, "The pellucid waters of Iceland reflect the lilting arcs of the ptarmigans..." is boring.

Superb? Interesting ideas in part, but what a bloated article. This was easily 2 to 3 times longer than it should have been. That is, only about half or a third was relevant.

No, they are not really responsible. The single most solid block of supporters for DDT is white voters. White voters bear the brunt of the responsibility. BTW, I'm white.

It's also interesting that that photo is supposed to inspire terror. Why? Nobody's doing anything wrong. No laws are being broken. There's no dirt or drug addicts on the street. But of course, it's black faces, & that terrifies lots of a certain kind of person. Even when they're doing nothing wrong.
