When the scope of your worldview is dictated by the institutions you are attached to, you can never fully exercise or expand your cognitive potential.

Read between the lines, look behind the curtains, and follow the money. We were all intended to do more than toe a party line.

Dems had a super majority for O-bomb-ya's first 2 years. When asked, he said RvW wasn't his priority. Instead, he gifted the private health ins industry with the ACA, expanded extrajudicial assassination, suppressed journalism & protest, and increased detention & deportation of immigrants.

I did address them. You're just not seeing the big picture, which is the point of identity politics and culture war.

As long as you are attached to the Democratic party, you cannot see their abuses or lies. They only offer us empty promises and never follow through with any of them.

... And making the same decisions and expecting different results is always the best option for change.

We've been going back and forth between D&R and have only moved to the Right in the last 30 years? Why? Because the role of the Ds is to ensure that no real Leftist movement gains traction.

Dems had majorities under both Obama and Biden and could have codified RvW and passed a Medicare for All, as a 1st step toward a NHS, but chose not to. Instead, both passed legislation that served the oligarchy and pursued war.

Learn to see beyond identity politics.
January 2, 2026 at 9:54 AM
With the exception of the pardons, Trump follows the precedents set by Obama and Biden. I'm sorry that you can't see beyond identity politics. Forest, tree.

D & R are both parties of war. They both use We the People to serve the oligarchy. Open mind for a different view.
January 2, 2026 at 2:57 AM
That's okay. Most people can't see the forest for the one tree they are attached to. That is the nature of identity politics and culture war.

Yes. There's a difference between needing an event to save the world from Fascism vs. needing an event to justify trying to take it over for Fascism.

Please remember that mass media propaganda was already a thing in FDR's time. Bernays' work both for corps and government (WWI Committee on Public Information w/George Creel) demonstrated its ability to influence the masses. FDR had to constrain the press to counter Fascist propaganda.
December 31, 2025 at 6:14 PM
It always impresses me how skillfully narcissists blame those trying to counter, correct, or otherwise respond to their chaos and destruction. They will always make themselves the victim and their enemy/target the aggressor.
December 31, 2025 at 6:07 PM
Ha! Please make up your mind. Was FDR a Capitalist/Fascist, in which case the American Fascists wouldn't want him gone, or was he a (Democratic) Socialist ... or is he just whatever you think will serve your argument?

I think FDR thought winning the war would stop Fascism, not strengthen it.
December 31, 2025 at 6:01 PM
Good point. We often forget that the American Fascists didn't want us in the war and were doing business with Hitler even after doing so was banned by FDR--something that nearly ruined the Bush family name.

I love how they try to take credit for our involvement in the war now.
December 31, 2025 at 5:52 PM
Why is it that oligarchs claim to "create jobs" and get the credit when unemployment is low, yet don't get the blame when unemployment is high? Again, narcissistic behavior.

When Capitalists hold jobs hostage demanding lower taxes, it's somehow the government's fault for fighting for the People.
December 31, 2025 at 12:33 PM
That's par for the course for narcissists, which all oligarchs are. Most people aren't so calculative, can't recognize the patterns, and are easily manipulated. But once you learn and understand narcissistic behavior, then you see the patterns clearer and become harder to manipulate.
December 31, 2025 at 12:27 PM
That's an artful deflection--blaming one's enemy for your own abuses. FDR didn't sign the Fed Reserve Act and he didn't cause the Great Depression.

His efforts to curb the hoarding of gold saved the US dollar from their speculative practices--a necessary step they forced and then blamed on him.
December 31, 2025 at 12:25 PM
Are you suggesting that the US and Russia are allies against Ukraine now? That's the only reason the US would confirm an illegal attack by Ukraine, after all the efforts the State Dept has put into covering up their previous war crimes. Western sources are sanitized in Ukraine's favor since _< 2022.

My experience in Afghanistan showed me how easily humans can slip into barbaric depravity. Doing so is a psychological flaw inherent to us all, but doesn't mean that we are inherently inhumane. Once you understand that, it's easier to resist the dehumanization and save your own humanity.
December 31, 2025 at 10:19 AM
Firstly, you're hearing what you want to hear, and not hearing what you don't. There is a difference between defending one side and challenging the propaganda of the other. But when you are psychologically attached to the propaganda of your side, any challenge is considered defending the enemy.

Once those regulations were removed by Reagan, the Middle Class shrunk, inequality grew, and economic stability declined.
December 31, 2025 at 8:29 AM
The New Deal may not have been a drastic turn around, but it absolutely did bring growth.

That said, regulations did not change the fact that the US was still a Capitalist economy.

And those regulations paid for the modernization of US infrastructure AND gave us the Middle Class.
December 31, 2025 at 8:27 AM
That is a good example of the Capitalist/Fascist re-write of history.

The "American Fascists", as Wallace called them, hated FDR so much that they wanted to overthrow him in 1933--while the economy was improving--to establish a Fascist Dictatorship in the US.
