Haha! I have an iPad with procreate for my kids to draw but I don't care to learn it. I interact with screens enough already, the paper gives feedback and shows me my mistakes instead of correcting them

Grab a cheap ballpoint pen and some printer paper. Fill up a page with circles of various sizes as a warmup. Then grab another page and draw a coffee mug or some other simple object you can study carefully. If you enjoyed that, do it again the next day and so on

it's all the old fashioned way, drawn in a sketchbook and I took pictures with my phone. the flute is graphic liners, the mountains are highlighters, the tree is a brush pen

It's just something I always wanted to do but never did it, no training or classes. I decided when my kids went back to school in August I was going to pick up some good habits and ditch some bad ones.

Same, I also had a good run with Cubase and Nuendo but they were buggy and not worth the yearly paid updates.

I used logic for a couple years back when it came in a giant box. I ditched it when switched back to windows. Mac wasn't really for me

Reaper is the end of a long line of DAWs I've used over the decades. The license is cheap and the updates are frequent.
