prose is very simple (almost too simple imo, which isn't something I thought I'd ever say) so it's a very easy read. Killing your internalizations is a bitch and it’s pretty well established now that many of these “straight” authors turn out to be queer. And regardless of whether they are or not we’ve all got to learn the culture. I’m not trying to defend cishet authors that intentionally use the queer experience
