We're going to a Christmas drive-in film tonight. There was intense debate in the family as to what to see, and I lost - we're going to see "Home Alone."

Last bit of car maintenance for the year: the Boxster is back from it's 4yr major service. Along with that, we have new front discs and pads and new hardlines from brake junction to calipers, and to top it all off, the original dealer plates are back in place.

Last bit of car maintenance for the year: the Boxster is back from it's 4yr major service. Along with that, we have new front discs and pads and new hardlines from brake junction to calipers, and to top it all off, the original dealer plates are back in place.

Occasional electrical flickers still, which results in frequent oven-clock-resetting, with the usual pleasure/pain of trying to get it to sync with the microwave...

Watching a tree in our garden wafting in the mild breeze we have here at the moment. The fact that the soil is also wafting is somewhat... unsettling.

I'm pleased my gentle chainsawing yesterday to make it fit the base has resulted in a moderately upright tree. Let's not got out the spirit level though, ok?

First running day of robotic lawnmower here. Not too bad a performance given the length of the grass and complexity of garden. It only needed rescuing once (reported a wheel drive problem) I suspect because of the grass length.
