I enjoy rook bathing in #Beckenham Place Park i.e. sitting amongst a flock of rooks on the field by the river at #Ravensbourne Station end. They are tame / human-friendly enough to ignore us while they scrutinise grass searching for next meal

when writing re #Golden Age of #Crime Fiction (eg #Sayers / #Berkeley) too easy to forget just how bad other "serious" #crimefiction then was eg 'The Man in the Dark' (1928) by John Fergurson (pub. by eg #Penguin!).

#UK politics: if u want to read just 1 bk re UK politics, IMO ' #Johnson at No 10' by Anthony Seldon & R Mortimer. 100s of interviews w/ key ppl, deconstructs #Boris eg c. 50 U-turns when PM. Weak, no head 4 detail, drifted.

#Canary #Wharf #Winterlights v well organised (better #££?): a) many staff; b)maps both 4 abled & #disabled; c) clear titles etc (s. pic on Sunday's post). BUT #South #Bank #Winter #Light had 1) no maps / titles /staff 2) strollers d/k show existed; 3) objets switched off eg below! #Art #exhibitions

#Winterlights a mostly impressive exhibition at #Canary #Wharf, London in area dominated by banks' bases eg #HSBC. Some exhibits inspired, others dull. IMO best 'Bird passing by': clear message + fine tech + exciting to see& hear. Artist used science re birds' movements & bodies; original & gripped
