Was sorry we didn’t have a chance to make it to Kinsale. Definitely going back to Ireland to hit up the south west, cork, dingle peninsula, etc.

I never got so much joy out of being Rick rolled.
December 16, 2025 at 9:37 PM
😆 nah I appreciate the double check. Like I said, I would have flipped if I had been selected for extra screening and had to dump the goods
December 16, 2025 at 5:52 PM
Checking was no cost tho so all is good. And it would have been stressful to be the lucky few selected for extra haha 😅
December 16, 2025 at 11:01 AM
Update. It would have been fine. They scanned our boarding card once, reviewed passport and boarding card together, then sent us around the bend where there was a global entry line for customs. So possible some get selected for extra screening but we did not. Ah well.
December 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM
No you’re right. It’s not readily available on their websites but after some sleuthing the tsa pre clearance does involve yet another full security checkpoint and their antiquated rules apply regardless of the new scanners. Pity.
December 15, 2025 at 9:35 PM
Dang.
December 15, 2025 at 9:24 PM
Also, learned at Teeling that traveling via Dublin means we can carry on our bottles of whisky—no need to check the bag. Apparently their scanners are better. CRAZY. The “new land” that is home is so last century in so many ways.

There’s something special about these European island nations. The air is quite literally cleaner, the landscape is greener, and they’ve legalized some of the key issues that remain flashpoints in the states. Cheers to the Emerald Isle.

It was just the visit Alexandria new maps they put out for their “neighborhoods” initiative. It had clearly used commonwealth for the Del Ray border and includes so may neighborhoods in the “west end”. It’s a silly map.
December 13, 2025 at 8:24 AM
I did not have the gumption to tell them that the east boundary is simply route 1, which here does not align. I picked my battle and won. 😆
