In terms of mass appeal, the Youtube video has 530 views as of Dec 8th. It is difficult to compete with the mass consuming for the holidays that’s happening right now. Hoards of people frantically buying gifts completely ignoring the effects that all these purchases will have on our future.

When I was a teacher, the executives, who hadn‘t taught for a long time, pushed teachers in the field to implement the next new thing. These intitatives were usually not effective and were short lived until the next thing came along. Teachers were the ones that had to do all the additional work.

No way in hell will we get off fossil fuels! I don’t understand how some people play the transition off of fossil fuels through in their heads and not reach the same conclusion? How is it even supposed to happen? Humanity just comes to the realization and then transitions in a short time?

I am not trembling. I have the emotional strength to accept what’s obviously here and going to continue to come. We are way beyond the right messaging phase that you are a proponent of. I believe it’s unethical and deceptive to continue to downplay the breakdown of our future.

I’m sorry. The Netherlands and Columbia along with 22 other nations starting their own conference offers me little hope for the future. We are still in the ”planning to plan” phase of climate action. Climate change is advancing at a much faster pace than any so called political action.
