Winter’s Arrived
It's been a long day today - starting before dawn with the whole household up and moving with various degrees of enthusiasm. Warm duvets were no match for the need to be up and about. Lady M needed to get in to her office. The cub needed to be up for school. Hospital beckoned for the boy s, and I'd agreed to be the chauffeur for his 8am appointment with the physiotherapist.

I thought I'd do a more traditional battlemap for an encounter, rather than my building a location. I didn't really have a scenario in mind, other than wanting something combining elements of arcane mystery and pseudo-scientific tabledressings - which is a long way round of saying: I made a thing with metal and things that look interesting rather than a stone building or fantasy landscape:

Daemonwaste: An Introduction
Dust and tumbleweed blows across the ash and sand of the Daemonwaste. The soil is arid, with hardy grasses and trees putting down deep roots to avoid being blown away. They say the wind talks to those out here alone. Magical war and poor land management have made this a place where its hard to scratch a living. To the east lies the civilised lands, or at least that what they think themselves to be.
