Fans eagerly anticipating news about Hollow Knight: Silksong have received a sliver of hope, as the recent Switch 2 Nintendo Direct briefly featured Team Cherry's long-in-the-works sequel. Hollow Knight: Silksong made an appearance during a montage of third-party games set to come to Switch 2. The gameplay clip was only a few seconds long but did confirm that Hollow Knight: Silksong is slated to release on Switch 2 in 2025, though no other details were provided. The series adapts the popular manga of the same name, which follows Japanese high school students Momo and Okarun. Both investigate paranormal phenomena, though they don't see eye to eye. Momo believes in ghosts but doesn't think aliens are real, while Okarun believes in aliens but not ghosts. Naturally, they soon discover that ghosts and aliens are both very real and very dangerous. Fortunately, both gain supernatural abilities to use against the paranormal forces threatening their world. The anime is produced by Science Saru--the same studio behind the recent Scott Pilgrim Takes Off animated series--and the animation does justice to mangaka Yukinobu Tatsu's original art. While the upcoming Dandadan Season One Blu-ray will be a great way to revisit the story so far, the original manga series is also available for those who want to experience the source material, or who don't feel like waiting until the next seasons to see what happens next. The Last of Us Season 2 introduces Kaitlyn Dever's Abby, a central character to the story. Obviously any adaptation will make changes to fit the medium, and that's no different for Season 2 with respect to Abby's story. In the game, players are introduced to Abby by way of a cutscene (via GamesRadar) that transitions to players taking control of Abby as the playable character for a period of time. This allows players to "immediately form an empathetic connection" with Abby because you're playing as her, writer Neil Druckmann said during an interview attended by Entertainment Weekly. Obviously, the TV show is not interactive, so Druckmann and the team changed things up, including the timeline. As fans will recall, they only learn about Abby's backstory after a certain major event plays out, with the game then going back in time to see how things came to be from Abby's perspective.Continue Reading at GameSpot
