Sweden and Finland are both capitalist countries by any reasonable definition. Having an extensive welfare state is not a change to the means of production, and both countries are currently run by right-wing tax cutters anyways.

First of all, I was way over the mark, the actual number is .05%, see Matt's later post of BLS stats. Second, yeah, 2 people struggling out of 200 is still rare. It's a bad thing and we should help them, but lying about it does nothing to help.

No, a very small portion of the populace makes minimum wage (about 1% of workers) and the number has gotten smaller over time. This is a country of 340 million, so that's still a lot of people, but they are measured and demonstrably rare

The percentage of people making the minimum wage has also massively declined. There's basically no job offering the federal wage at this point. McDonalds workers get $15/hr
