Nowhere do I say left-wing violence is less serious. I say it’s less lethal based on body count. I state that violence is morally wrong, as any sensible person would. But according to the CSIS study, it has increased since Trump appeared on the political scene, and in normal times it’s rare.

My latest: How Trump successfully provoked, over 10 years, an uptick in left-wing violence; how he’s now trying to provoke more (thus far, thank God, unsuccessfully); and how he’s using it to justify a crackdown on political dissent more sweeping than COINTELPRO.

How Trump Became the Ringmaster of Left-Wing Violence
He’s goading bad actors on the left to give him a reason to harass his law-abiding critics.

The good news is that Schwarzman got Trump to back off on saddling Harvard with a government monitor. The bad news is that Harvard is changing its name to Schwarzman University.

The WPA murals are a vital part of our nation’s artistic history, and to the extent that they can remain public, they should!

Nobody else is writing about this, so please re-post my two-part series about the imminent sale of what one expert calls “the Sistine Chapel of New Deal art.” Preservationists need to move fast.

This weekend is a good time to catch up on my stories about Trump’s imminent sale and likely destruction of a 1940 government building that one expert calls “the Sistine Chapel of New Deal art.”

Hanging in my office is a framed display of various WPA murals from Post Offices that were built during the Great Depression. Truly treasures that should be preserved.

I desperately hope that if an iconoclastic Federal government is happy to let this art decay that we can find some way to save it.
There Was a Plan to Save These New Deal Masterpieces. Then Trump Won.
A feasibility study was underway about restoring the ailing federal building that houses important Ben Shahn frescoes, Philip Guston murals, and other FDR-era artwork. But the Trump administration put...

The Wilbur J. Cohen Federal Building is, one expert told me, “the Sistine Chapel of New Deal art.” GSA had a plan earlier this year to save it. Now Trump is rushing to sell it.

Save the Cohen, part 2, explains how we got here. Please share widely!

Love this.

Epstein got a short jail sentence because he hired high-priced lawyers to intimidate prosecutor Alex Acosta by putting a tail on him and engaging in other rich-asshole tactics. But if Lutnick wants to spread Trump-hurting rumors, God bless him.
