Toole's "A Confederacy of Dunces" would be tempting, as would Vonnegut's "God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater." But I'd probably go with a copy of Keats' Poems and Letters.

Since they won't believe their videographer could have hit the switch, perhaps tell them that the elevator operator was raptured at that moment and was the only one of us worthy.

I read this story with interest, as I care for elderly people at risk. After checking around and explaining I'm a caregiver, I found a pharmacy that provided a vaccine, although I don't know how long they'll be able to. Those in a similar situation may want to check other pharmacies.

"Hopefully Tomorrow" would be a good album and song title. I'm imagining it in the vein of Stevie Wonder. "Hopefully tomorrow, the world won't be so cruel. Hopefully tomorrow, we'll remember love."
