A few more of the Rolls-Royce Corniche by Niels van Roij Design.

The Dutch company’s past projects include shooting brakes based on the Tesla Model S and Rolls-Royce Wraith.

It has also built a Range Rover (L405) coupe, Ferrari ‘Breadvan’ homage and Fiat Panda restomod.

My favourite feature of Niels van Roij’s Corniche shooting brake is this electrically retractable cycle rack.

It slots into the centre section of a new, horseshoe-shaped fuel tank.

Tank capacity isn’t diminished – handy when you have a 6.75-litre V8 and three-speed auto ’box…

Inside the Rolls-Royce Corniche shooting brake by Niels van Roij Design.

Seats are retrimmed in beige leather, with green-flecked tweed to line the glovebox, storage trays, etc. The carpets are deep-pile lambswool.

Bakelite steering wheel and the walnut dashboard have been restored.

First look at ‘Henry II’ – a Rolls-Royce shooting brake from Niels van Roij Design.

Based on a 1982 Corniche coupe, this coachbuilt one-off took 7,000 hours to design and hand-build.

I drove it (carefully) in the Swiss mountains. Read more on MR: www.motoringresearch.com/car-reviews/...

Latest project from Theon Design is a carbon-bodied 964 in Ice Green Metallic (a classic Porsche shade).

Its 3.8-litre NA flat-six on throttle bodies makes 413hp at 7,600rpm.

Spec also includes 993 RS brakes, TracTive adaptive dampers and three-piece 18-inch split-rims.

This E21 won the UK leg of the 2025 Hot Wheels Legends Tour.

It packs a 420hp 5.0-litre Rover V8, DTM-spec gearbox and Quaife limited-slip differential

Other mods include adjustable coilover suspension, Wilwood brakes and a genuine Group 5 rear spoiler.

‘Then as now, the Turbo was pitched as a luxurious GT, rather than a bare-bones road racer. All it lacked, until the very last year of production at least, was a five-speed gearbox.’

Volkswagen Scirocco Mk2 spotted in Bletchingley.

Late GT II spec means a factory-fitted Zender bodykit and a carb-fuelled 90hp version of the 1.8-litre engine from the Scirocco and Golf GTI.

‘Paying £153,400 for a 644hp mid-engined supercar looks good value. A V6 hybrid McLaren Artura costs in excess of £200,000, for example.’

Polos are the only other model I know of. Introduced in the late 1990s, taking cues from the Golf Colour Concept. Solitude 14-inch alloys, choice of five exterior colours with matching leather upholstery, ‘sports’ bumpers from the GLX. polodriver.com/heritage/ser... #Polo #VWPolo #Polo50

Lotus Elite spotted in Purley.

Such a great shape - especially in ‘Norfolk Mustard’.

Briefly considered leaving a note on this, before coming to my senses and slowly backing away…

Volkswagen Golf GTI Colour Concept spotted in Caterham.

A thousand were made in each of the paint colours: Yellow, Flash Red, Jazz Blue, Diamond Black and Salsa Green.

Lots more yellow inside, too, including on the leather Recaro seats and steering wheel VW badge.

Fiat X1/9 spotted: a bit of Gandini magic in the Surrey suburbs.
