Off to a great start. While lino is a great material, there are lots of other materials you can adapt to. It's a great way to use up excess packaging materials for instance. Styrofoam blocks can be s ribed into easily, though be careful of solvents in that case and test first on scraps.

Wait, what about that next article - @lyndacarter.bsky.social with Loni Anderson together? I don't remember that one at all.

Wait - that isn't a Princess Leia reference - it's 5 years too early. So is the Princess Leia look a reference to this macrame book?

It's been decades since I worked in a bookstore, but I am sure your local independent would be happy to order books for you. You can avoid buying through Amazon or the big boxes by ordering from an independent and can usually avoid shipping costs as well.

My first thought on that headline was - maybe they are talking to a person. Wouldn't be the first time supposed tech advances have been offloaded to workers in India.

You can crochet a curtain. I have a small one over my bathroom window crocheted by my mom using the filet crochet technique. It's basically crocheting little rectangles in a grid pattern.

Bond and 007 can just be an ID that gets passed around. Have Pierce Brosnan play a retired agent in trouble and the new guy rescues him. Someone asks who they are and one says Bond, and the other James Bond. Then the look at each other.

Similar to the Time Lord concept, 007 is just a designation. We have had multiple actors over the years. They could have been actual different guys all using the same designation and name. So you just add a new one. Bring back Pierce Brosnan as a retired agent in jeopardy and not mention who he was.

Happy Halloween! Really admire your color choices and placement. It reads as well as a thumbnail as it does large. An indication of great structure.

I recognize that day at the coast. Great expression of weather and atmosphere.

You can always make your own sampler throw by just doing one or a few of a pattern like this when you find it. Do a couple for fun, put them in a box or basket, and when you have a bunch done crochet them together into a finished piece.

The toy says Rip right on it. She is just being a good obedient doggie.

Acrylics can be thinned with water and used similar to guache and watercolors but with more retention of chroma. Your drawing style tends to be strongly colored, so it could be a good fit for you.

Great painting. Guache is a difficult medium to work in, I've found it tricky when trying it in the past. You might consider acrylics. They are a good midpoint between water-based media and oils in handling.

It has an initial gloss but the more it's badly used, the faster that will degrade. Clipart was cool when it first came out, and now second-rate filler. The real issue I have is the reality of the images exaggerating problems we already have with unrealistic expectations for body image etc.

Romantic? Does the dragon have "the most beautiful eyes"?

That's a very nice cat. Cats are hard to draw because they are so familiar that even the smallest deviation jumps out at you. There's a huge potential for subtle emotional content that makes it worth the effort, though.

Did they use Scheele's green (arsenic dye) for the cover?

I think the Wapanoag tried that on the Puritans, but it didn't work.
