Here is a glimpse of a new product I'm working on with colleagues from UKMO, DWD, and NOAA. These plots show monthly mean surface-specific humidity from merging surface measurements with satellite estimates. Current work focuses on extending back to 1988 using additional satellite estimates.

An example of the TROPOMI stable water vapour isotopologue product we are developing with ESA. The darker blue colours represent air masses supplied with moisture through surface evaporation. Lighter blue to yellow colours are older air masses with moisture rained out (maybe more than once).
