If you stand the broccoli on the florets then cut down the stem to the florets the broccoli will naturally break apart without shedding the florets. Of course if your knives are not sharp you will always crush your food instead of cutting it.

I've only seen that happen on an iPhone with 3rd party apps. It can be frustrating. My Pixel will not only keep the navigation available when I disconnect from the car and Android Auto, but it will automatically switch to walking directions to take me the rest of the way, and add it to my watch.

I'm an iPhone user but refuse to give up my Pixel. I work in Tech so I'm not tied to one OS. I choose apps and services that are platform independent so I can move and work between different systems. iPhones are the most difficult to use outside their walled garden, so I can't fully committed to it.

This makes me wonder what podcasts people listen to. I only listen to the Joe Budden Podcast, WVFRM (Waveform), and everything from Earn Your Leisure (EYL). I have never felt bad after listening. EYL can prepare you for market downturns, but that's it. And they made me money.

That’s awesome. I’m happy for you. Take that money and invest in your future and your legacy. We have a tendency to be charitable in these situations but you can do that after you have a strong foundation.

This is so true for us all. Look up Tim Wise’s knee jerk thought to seeing an all black flight crew on his plane. He evaluated his thoughts and came to realization that if these black guys are flying the plane they must be the best pilots in the airline because of how racism works in the US.

That pisses me off too. I avoided getting COVID until late January 2024 when I went to brunch with another yt family we're cool with and the wife was getting over being sick but still coughing next to me. A week later I had it. That was the only time I left the house since Christmas.
