I managed to snap this photo of people taking a boat tour through Arashiyama Bamboo Forest from the train as we returned to Kyoto from Kinosaki Onsen. The views through the mountains and countryside were incredible.

Kinosaki Onsen from Mt Daishi. This town was gorgeous and a wonderful change of pace from the busyness of Osaka and Kyoto. We stayed at a traditional ryokan and enjoyed relaxing in the town's public onsens.

Took the ferry from Hiroshima to Miyajima Island. Wish we had spent more time on the island exploring, but the Itsukushima Shrine was worth the trip. The tide was out so we could walk right up to the torii gate.
