My SO and I spent the day at the First Turn Club at Churchill Downs. Pretty horses, whiskey, and a buffet. Kids running around, everybody relaxed and happy because they didn't have to cook (and whiskey).

Try a lemur. A lemur is a cat with hands that can also jump about 15 feet (+/- 4 meters) from a sitting position. Ideal pet.

They also serve pie.

Actually, for a stress free Thanksgiving Elspeth and I go to Churchill Downs, watch the pretty horses, and drink Mint Juleps and/or Old Fashions.
