Recently read: The Black Guy Dies First: Black Horror Cinema from Fodder to Oscar by Robin R. Means Coleman, PhD, and Mark H. Harris. Saga Press, 2023.
Thoughtful, richly informative, and entertaining. My one complaint is the lack of an index, because I'd like to use this book as a reference work.

An anthology of queer monster stories—as in, the monsters are queer. YA. I wish books like this had been available when I was a young adult, and I wouldn't hesitate to give this to a young adult in my life.

Went to a terrific poetry reading at a local bookstore I’ve never been to before (Flagship Books in Kansas City KS) and might have found a book while I was there.
