All the tariffs just mean that the extra costs attached on goods are just taxes right? So Chinese businesses wouldn’t see anything from the cost increases.

Anything is possible these days. Though it doesn’t make sense to buy the stock, as that would be spending extra money to support Tesla investors and Elon. A large fund/nation state could just wait for Tesla stock to tank, then loan Elon money for the same amount of leverage on Musk

Momentum traders buy/sell stocks by watching which way the price is going.
Growth traders will buy a stock based on the promise/belief it’ll become more valuable.
Value traders look at what the company produces/has to make a buy/sell decision.

This is oversimplified, but it covers the ground.

I would say they’re less luddites and more a rehash of the know-nothing party.

Not all bird eggs are the same! Looks like penguin eggs have different proteins in them that don’t get cloudy when cooked like a chicken egg.

My favorite podcast the dollop had a whole episode talking about weird eggs during the California gold rush. Fun episode. youtu.be/vn0KmNvOiTg

I always thought of it like slouching, a bad habit that you don’t notice, you don’t think about, and no one corrects you. But if everyone around you talks about good posture, not slouching, and even calls you out on your posture, if you’re open to change you can fix a bad habit.

DuckDuckGo is a good choice and I used it for a long time, but I started to move away from DDG when I learned it’s just Microsoft Bing under the hood.

Personally I would recommend Kagi. I’ve been using it the last year or so and quite like it. It is a paid service, but it’s got some great features

I think we’re having two different conversations here. You’re right, old doesn’t mean better and forcing old tech to work with new tech can have its own problems.

I think we can also both agree that a lot of software today has features/bloat in it that don’t have a direct benefit to the user.

TC is not claiming the old way was better. Just that the new way is unnecessarily complex and bloated.

Yeah I’ve heard about that too. Would be ideal if there was some way to tax the ultra rich on these loans, since they basically use it as income. Maybe even have a senior member of the IRS that only works on one billionaire’s account to keep them somewhat honest…
