A lot of Japanese artists worked on the Rankin Bass Christmas Specials. Most of the animation on Frosty the Snowman was done by Mushipro.

The protagonist is created by school aged children, & brought to life by poorly defined magic. He's pursued by a mostly ineffective villain, aided by a child and a friendly animal mascot, and ultimately triumphs by the power of friendship and plot armor.
