I’m sure you’re right and that loads of people didn’t vote because they didn’t have to be arsed to. But then your country is also renowned for putting some pretty ridiculous obstacles in the way to make voting as difficult as possible.

A grand idea! Wonder if the pollies who are hellbent on pushing MPS over the line will adopt it? I’m surprised that no wise pollie with an eye on the future health of the state’s finances & unwilling to court bankruptcy didn’t court the idea of a state lottery to fund it, but no, it’s easy us.

People cite this stuff as "NIMBY" but - it's not their backyard or even close to it? If anything this is an example of a perfectly reasonable town not caring about a perfectly fine battery project built on shitty land - the real problem is the deeper, systemic issue of Australian society / media

We desperately need the court to allow the UN’s Special Rapporteur to intervene as amicus curiae in these proceedings to ensure what our govt and Murray WTF will not: our human right to live in a clean, healthy and sustainable environment.
