It is if its making your life worse or affecting other meds. For example its about the worst thing a person with ADHD can take. I did it for awhile thinking it was fine, but I could not remember anything or pay attention to details even when "sober". So yeah anything you take is your dr's business.

I don't think its chemically addictive but its definitely behaviorally addictive.
