I enjoy the combat and the bosses of Poe2. But the mobs and map design are terrible. I found myself just running though the mobs instead of fighting to reach the next checkpoint.
They keep body blocking so you can't dodge and the small corridors are a nightmare.

Maybe I'm missing something. I worked at Nvidia and Qualcomm doing as an rtl designer and SoC architect. But when we move away from integration there's always a power and perf impact. Maybe there's something special about this design. I don't know then.

Yes but this is for high compute usecases. Especially VR/AR where I could imagine in the future will use real time AI for augmentation. Human won't notice but the power/perf impact would be there.
An example would be Apple using on package DRAM to reduce mem access latency and save power transfer

Or at least some power efficiency impact. If the soc isn't integrated closely with the hdm, moving data on and off must have some sort of drawback. Making things less integrated have some drawbacks.

There must be latency impact moving data from the hmd to the pick no? Especially if you need fast real time rendering.
