sorry for the strong reaction, I have been a Londoner for almost 18y. never got mugged or assaulted, once I almost got pick pocketed but that’s it. In a city of more than 9m ppl. So enraged by how my city is portrayed in the US (and to an extent in France) by right wing media.

First time I saw it I was in year 6 (10-11 years old). A couple of boys in my primary school were grabbing girls in the playground to rub themselves on them, doggy style… I got into trouble for giving them a few bruises for what they were doing. My daughter was 12 the first time she felt threatened…

Have it and I am alternating with Carlo Masala’s “if Russia wins”. Both great reads but slightly depressing indeed and wishing was not so in tune with the times.We really need a new generation of politicians who actually stands for social democracy and social justice. Should not be too much to ask…
