There is an advantage to buying good equipment - if the results aren't great, the equipment can't be blamed. And that will lead to learning to get better results

Microcontroller programming in C can be pretty low-level without having to deal with assembly. It is rather satisfying to have a cheap little chip running at a few megahertz respond faster than a desktop

Heh, coincidentally I have a similar book I picked up sometime - "Magic - Stage Illusions, Special Effects, and Trick Photography", by Albert Hopkins (1898). It would be nice to see some of those old effects

I still have the shirt and it's in good condition as I only wore it on occasion. And now I hesitate to as it says "Boomer Ale" so I'd probably get thought of as a Boomer if I wore it. I'm not THAT old! (or backwards-thinking)
