A week in France, first at the Paris Institute for Advanced Study (with our Cartoons in Court research group), followed by a visit to the cartoon festival in Saint-Just-Le-Martel where we presented our cartoon exhibition 'Designed to Provoke' and hung out with some amazing cartoonists!

Cartoon waarop een grote machine te zien is, gelabeld 'Populistische stemmachine'. Aan de ene kant van het apparaat stoppen boze stemmers hun stembiljet in een glazen stembus. Deze hangt aan een stalen kabel, die via katrollen verbonden is met een schuif die een hok afsluit waar twee grote honden met scherpe ontblote tanden in zitten. Naarmate de stembus meer stemmen bevat and dus zwaarder wordt, trekt deze de schuif steeds verder omhoog. Voor de schuif staat een groep angstig kijkende mensen met een migratieachtergrond.
