So, because the feature can potentially be abused or exploited means it should not exist? Should we stop adding closed captions to TV broadcasts too? What an asinine argument. I have never seen such contempt for low-vision people

just chiming in here to let you know the purpose of alt text is to be a *replacement* of the image for blind/low-vision users, so they should describe everything a sighted person may see in it, and should not contain commentary, jokes, etc. I've attached an example with appropriate alt text

I was just asking because I thought ORCA, the organization, was formed as a public entity with board seats for each of the involved agencies. how that works has always been sort of nebulous to me

Agreed. It’s criminal that I can’t grab a little treat while I wait for the bus. Or something to rehydrate with on a hot day. I am such a big fan of businesses directly integrated into transit centers

I use Plexamp as my music player and it works pretty well. since you can have multiple players going at once it's slightly different than Spotify Connect (and I imagine its specific behavior is patent-encumbered), but there is a button to hand off control from a different player that does the trick

it's been long overdue, but it feels good to finally own my music library and for my dollars to go to the talented people that make it

a big reason why I (shamefully) stuck with Spotify for as long as I did was because of the discovery features, and a friend recently showed me this neat piece of software which replicates that experience for local music libraries: github.com/LumePart/Explo

I sure do love how they made station naming guidelines then just ignore them half of the time because the affected city just said "mmm no we don't like that name" or whatever

I was really confused because I thought the headline meant they were removing bike racks, lol
