There was an episode of Night Gallery called "The Doll" which was creepy enough. The final scene was oddly both terrifying and gratifying – a nice combination to pull off.

Went to the Ghibli museum in October and saw all the character and background studies on the walls. Just amazing to see the evolution of ideas.
