Among the many ironies:

- 3 of the math teachers attacked were Charlie Kirk fans and voted for Trump
- the high school has a chapter of Turning Point USA, and they defended the teachers (letter below)
- one of the math teachers told me he doesn't allow people to discuss politics in his class

In just a few days, the district received over 3,000 hateful and obscene messages.

Teachers stayed home. Sheriff’s deputies stepped up patrols on campus. Confused students asked if they were safe at school.
