I still think that Keanu reeves was miscast as Johnny silverhand and due to that, and the difficulties of open world rpg design the emotional heft of the story totally falls apart for me. Plus lots of contradictions, cowardice, and tbh sleaze and homophobia in the writing

Stalin was a BPD autodidact, adventurer, good at throwing parties... Could easily be a 'self taught heterodox archaeologist/anthropologist' guy whose work vacillates between being kinda prescient and kinda Ancient Aliens and disappears mysteriously looking for a lost civilisation

Rogue trader has so many insane feats that are like "in x situation, improve y by z percent, adding Toblerone stacks" where it was literally impossible for a normal person to know what actual impact it would have unless u were tabbing to someone else's Google spreadsheet constantly

imo this sneakily made 5e translate very well to videogame format. Levelling one character over months? Crunch fun. levelling up 6 several times a session? Fuck I hated seeing the wotr/rogue trader level-up icons. The cognitive load was awful. Whereas bg3 offloaded 'builds' into optional itemisation
