XIV are good. I get about 10FPS less than on Windows, but I’m nearly certain that’s an Nvidia problem. It’s AMD GPUs for me in the future, for sure.

Feels much like older computers did, I think, since nothing is an intrinsic part of the operating system except for the capability to manage and execute applications.

I get that this is always true, but the presentation is very different on macOS and Windows. They’re better at hiding the seams.

You can't have a high frame rate, high resolution, HDR, accurate colors, and working sound all on the same game on Linux. Hell, you usually only get *one* of those things per title.
Meanwhile, Windows just gives you all that. Sure, there's bloat. But when you press "Play" on a game, it works.
