Ambisonics shootout today! Putting my DIY’d ambisonics microphone up against a Sennheiser Ambeo VR. The DIY one cost about 10x less to build than to buy the Sennheiser model, so let’s see if there’s a 10x difference in sound!

immersive recording pt. 2 i tracked a 35 piece choir last week using a decca tree and ambisonics microphone, it was a lot of fun and the atmos mix sounds great!

down the immersive recording rabbit hole. very excited to try out this double mid-side mic array i’ve made with an old stereo bar and some extra bits!
