She's a taxpayer, never been in any trouble, worked most of her adult life. It shouldn't be this hard.

Has been a nightmare. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Because she's not 65, she doesn't qualify for Medicare. Per guidelines she will qualify after receiving SSDI benefits for 24 months. That means struggling with insurance premiums and other related medical costs for 2 years. Medicaid is no better.

My sister had a major stroke in November. Didn't make a lot, but kept a roof over her head. Couldnt afford insurance. Post stroke, we are struggling to deal with the fallout. Having to find an affordable insurance plan that will help with post stroke recovery, then figure out housing
