It makes sense. Evolution developed fish to a low drag specification, why shouldn't it work for aircraft?
Such a shame that the Cubaroo didn't enter production. What a beautiful creation.

It performed well enough in its time, short though it was in the fast paced evolutionary period.

Everyone should now be able to recognise the VE-7. Basically, looks like a Spad but with American stars.

Top Geek, and don't dismiss the two and a half float NY-2, a little known variant.

Very good 😁

Still plenty of 'like-minded' dunces on X to keep you company, somewhat fewer here tough.

A modeller's perspective.

What's wrong with that? Well, apart from it should have been built as a flying boat perhaps.

A man of refined tastes 👍

The struts naturally seem to be a bit complexed.

Top left shouldn't have a star and bars on the fuselage, the A.I. took 'in American markings' a bit too far but I decided to let that go given previous experience.

Good grief! I was so busy fighting with it to sort out the rudder stripes that it began to feel like it was taking the piss, I didn't notice it had been making adjustments elsewhere 😬
Here's the original.
