When I saw this poll, my first thought was that there'd probably be a big difference in approval for a state taking this action vs. the feds doing it.

I mean, I'd be all for that too! But an AirTrain extension feels to me like a more modest, achievable goal than a big intermodal station for BART/Caltrain/HSR on the Airport grounds

My hot take is that – in the absence of a proper train hall under SFO – BART should skip SFO entirely, and AirTrain should extend directly to Millbrae station.

Cuts several minutes off BART to Millbrae, and allows Caltrain (and someday HSR) riders to skip the awkward BART transfer.
