& perhaps the younger players coming through hardly ever play 50 over cricket so don't know how to build the innings & play it as a 20 over game.

BCCI knew what would happen when this was arranged. The interesting question is who gains (or perhaps who loses) from that the motivation might appear.

The World Cup was often about poor fielding I agree We will have to agree to differ about the batting which bar, Sciver-Brunt and Knight & Dean (who should be higher up the order it appears) has been poor all this tournement.

But the batting did bottle it under pressure. The bowling did not but has been little criticised previously.

No-one could possibly be surpried by this. As soon as Dunkley & Capsey were in the squad it was clear what would happen.

They have an inflation mandate (which they are ignoring), I don't believe they have an employment mandate but they are actiing as if they do. It says a lot about them

They have said that this is not the way to reduce the number of days played. Not the same thing. Better scheduling would be a help as well, another thing that is the ECBs responsibility as is this whole mess.
