The thing that irks me the most about that guy is how rarely privilege comes up in discussions on his optimism. He’s independently wealthy from an acquihire in ~2010. Easy to carry water for capital when you’re petite bourgeoisie.

Creativity is a threat to the bourgeoisie since it diverts from the highest order: to unquestioningly serve their neo-religious ideals (think singularity, etc)
