ok, even setting aside the laundry list of other things wrong with his idea, why does trump keep talking about canada being a "51st state", singular? canada is a federation like the US, wouldn't you have to admit all the provinces individually? it'd end up the 51st-through-63rd states.
Trump on what Trudeau could offer him to change his mind on tariffs: "What I'd like to see -- Canada become our 51st state."
