Spent a week on Corfu over the summer, was exciting to do some birding abroad. One of the highlights was definitely this red back shrike just sitting on a wire just by where I was staying!

Spent a week on Corfu over the summer, was exciting to do some birding abroad. One of the highlights was definitely this red back shrike just sitting on a wire just by where I was staying!
A new lifer I wanted to get over the summer was the bearded reedling, also known as the bearded tit.
So I was happy to hear the chances of seeing them at Titchwell was pretty high this time of year.
Luckily enough they were one of the first birds I encountered. A good start to the day! 🌾

Was treated with a beautiful pair of pied flycatchers showing well on a walk through some woodland near Bethesda.
They seemed a bit nervy at first but grew more confident over time.
This was back at the start of summer.

A beautiful Yellow Wagtail (flavissima) which visited my garden over the summer. Only stopped by for a few minutes so needed my quickest camera reflexes.
