26yr Berkeley resident, dad. Iowa born & raised. Truth inviolable. Harvard BA '88, Govt. I #standwithharvard.

We need to understand why Iowa flipped harder from Obama to Trump than any state in the union in '16. It's not just racism, bigotry & xenophobia.
The Idaho Stop and Delaware Yield are actually safer than traditional stop sign/light laws for cyclists. One of the most dangerous situations for a cyclist is regaining momentum in an intersection while impatient and/or distracted drivers of 2- or 3-ton motorized vehicles wait for them to pass.

One thing... The primary goal isn't to ensure the enactment of progressive policies. It's to ensure the rule of law.

I believe his current opinion is to add 20 justices to the court, which drastically reduces the impact of retirements and deaths. To the objection that Republicans will do the same thing, he responds (I'm paraphrasing), "So what? It's already a politicized body."

Elie Mystal agrees, and has been a very effective advocate for court expansion as well.

"Expanding the number of people who sit on the Supreme Court is a normal American solution to a problem that has happened before in our history."

There Is Only One Way Out of This Crisis: Expand the Court
Expanding the Supreme Court may not be easy, but it’s the only constitutional way to address the Republicans’ cynical theft of at least two seats.
