"Burnaby has often been described as a world-class city." The passive sentence construction is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.

Humourless? There’s a guy that posts old “Nancy” comic strips every day! That stuff’s a riot. She’s irascible.

And the "OK" sticker IDs electric vehicles in BC, which he is brilliantly satirizing by replacing the plug symbol with a gas pump.

The ICBC reference is another dead giveaway. But there are parts of BC that are more Alberta than Alberta.

Cool. I'll remove the comment.

Ok, if you're happy, that's cool. But still a bit surprised. Doesn't cost anything to give credit.

I love the sport so much. And hate its governing body even more.

Happy birthday from a fellow October 16ther! Not a bad day for it. Except that in 1970 it was the day Canada's PM invoked the War Measures Act to clamp down on militant Quebec separatists. Cool that he saw your post! When he was in Vancouver working on Blade Trinity in 2003, I emailed him via his website to jokingly apologize about the rain. He wrote back and we had a brief, pleasant correspondence. I made a few suggestions about neighborhoods to visit. He couldn't have been nicer.
