a ranking to all unranked items. Simply ranking them on the list based on "how much I enjoy them" feels bad when well over half of them I don't use at all, because I actively hate them.
Obviously limits to what Surveymonkey lets you do with their widgets, but I'd prefer more flexibility. 2/2

The UX on the ranking widget is awful (not your fault, obvs) Also unclear whether "leave them at the bottom" means just rank them low, or leave at the bottom and blank out the ranking.
Blanking out the ranking makes sense to me intuitively, except that adjusting any item in the list adds ... 1/2

It's probably just the fault of the ways our brains are always taking shortcuts when processing input. Randomly missing or insert "not" or "un-" is super common.

For some reason most recent confirmation/opt out responses for texts I've gotten lately have also become case sensitive, which is extremely annoying.

Took me several reads to see that it wasn't saying "unauthorized". Probably should have phrased it "you or another authorized user".

What an incredibly low bar he's set for interviews, that we consider it a positive development when he says he's seen the actual words the president said regarding a national news event.

20 years ago I worked at a pharma plant that made, among other things, fentanyl. Does that mean they were making WMDs?

I enjoyed the joke at the end where you dedicated the essay to your daughter, Leeloo Dallas Burrito.

(also a high school age kid, whose dad was one of the long time actors in the company) to join. It was absolutely a blast to play with them. We only did a few sessions, but it is still one of favorite groups ever, 2/x

I remember back when I was in high school, my dad nepotismed me into a job running the light board for the theater he was the resident LD for. At one point the stage manager put together a D&D group with several of the actors and invited me and the sound board op 1/x

That's why I think it's important to also cultivate independent reading. Ideally something more than standard "book report" format, but something that gives agency in choosing something that interests the student and gives them a chance to dig in and analyse in a way they wouldn't other books. 3/3

And even to an extent Crime and Punishment all clicked for me. There's gonna be something that's grabs everyone, and the problems come in when there's only so much time in the year, and if the whole class is doing the same book there's less chances to explore. 2/3

I think the main thing is there needs to be more variety/diversity in the books that are taught. Some people love books like Gatsby and Catcher, but I loathed both of them. But on the other hand, Lord of the Flies, Heart of Darkness, Pride and Prejudice, Grapes of Wrath, Handmaid's Tale, 1/3
