Mostly here for Good Omens. Ace/aro, AuDHD, wheelchair user. I write fanfic and know lots of random things.
Fellow neurodivergent memory glitchers: you get it. It's that thing when you can't remember if you took your pill or not, except worse, because I was SURE I did the thing, but I was staring at evidence that I had NOT done the thing! Hilarious in hindsight, but I don't recommend that experience 😅

I am absolutely *certain* that I just put *something* away in the pantry, and I certainly *thought* it was the protein powder...

So I stand there, looking back and forth between the protein powder and the closed pantry door.

Mom: It's a new one.

Me: <HUGE relieved sigh> Okay GOOD 😅

I put protein powder in the coffee, put the lid on the protein powder, and put it away in the pantry. I then turn around to go back to my coffee.

There's a thing of protein powder on the counter. EXACTLY where I had the protein powder when I was using it.

There I was, relatively newly disabled, sitting there in my manual wheelchair. There was fun music playing, and I wanted to dance, and I was SO SAD that I couldn't.

Then I remembered that story, that character, and realized I still COULD dance! And I did! And I still do, every chance I get! ❤

Counterpoint: ACCURATE representation can have an equally real and POSITIVE impact! I'm forever grateful for your story that happened to include a manual wheelchair user in a dance group for exactly that reason. It made a huge difference for me in a key moment.

Sending you MASSIVE hugs, a blanket fort, and a teddy bear.🧸

Sending your brain to time-out so it can think about what it's done until it's ready to apologize.

Sending your toxic ex a thousand Crowley-style curses to torment him for the rest of his days. 😈

How dare you describe this as "just a toast"

Why would my dad put traps in the flower pots, you ask?

Well, if you take the movie Caddyshack and replace the word "gopher" with "squirrel," and pretend that Bill Murray's character is my dad... that's why. 😞
October 28, 2025 at 1:14 AM
Noooo I don't WANT it to be a trap! Because if it's a trap, then it was probably set by my own father! 😭😭😭 And it was probably set in one of the flower pots on our deck, which makes it even worse because it's been cold enough that everything in those pots is pretty close to dead.

Little buddy made it all the way under that bush before I lost sight of it. Definitely not as fast or agile as an uninjured chipmunk, but it might be able to recover.

I have no idea where the clip thing came from.

What do you mean your closet can just NOT HAVE DOORS 🤯 I tend to leave mine open, and the open door gets in my way, and then I CAN'T close it because there's inevitably clothes on the floor because reasons, and...

This is an odd new item on my list of reasons to move out of my parents' house!

I don't know who this person is, but I appreciate all the people quoting him so that I know to block him!

There is no rule saying you can't own more than one dictionary! My friend and I enjoy comparing definitions across different editions. Between the two of us, we have editions from 1941, 1976, 1979, and 2001.

Seriously, I have NEVER understood this. EVER. And it has always been next to impossible to find a pair I could tolerate wearing. Now, as an autistic adult with a bigger waist than I used to have, I don't bother! Life is too short to wear uncomfortable clothes!

The inside of the accessible staff bathroom is great, but it's useless to me because I can't open the door.

"But it's ADA compliant!"

That's nice. I still can't open the door.

"It's compliant!"

Still can't use it.

"But it's compliant!"

I eventually quit that job.

SUPER judgy. Definitely more judgement than I care to voluntarily imbibe.

Also, if I tell you something is not wheelchair accessible, it's not wheelchair accessible.

You insisting it IS accessible, based on legal requirements when it was built, doesn't magically make it accessible.

I like that this guy acknowledges that this is the standard position in Judaism. We've always been pro-choice, because life begins with the first breath, and also pragmatic reasons like "giving birth can be deadly for the mom" and "infant mortality is a thing"

I hc that Aziraphale is the entire reason we associate angels with harps, and possibly also trumpets.

And this is Rocket's predecessor, Cinnamon, as an adult and as a puppy. Once in a blue moon, we would call her Cinnamonster. In her 19 years of life, I also called her Squeaky, Pipsqueak, and Dog. I also address Rocket as Dog. It works.

This is Rocket, politely suggesting that since I am sitting in front of the TV, I should MAYBE be throwing his toy for him. He also answers to Rocket Man.

Huh! I've never seen any other method, but then I've never looked for any, either. But yay, you did the thing! Hooray!!! I am proud of you!!!
